What is the Annual Report?
The annual report shows your community and the Ministry of Education how your board has delivered on achieving the goals and objectives set out in your strategic and annual implementation plans.
It shows how well all your students have progressed over the last year, how well the board have given effect to Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and how you have used your school resourcing (including your financial and staffing resources).
Preparation of the annual report provides a chance for your board to reflect and assess progress using the targets, expectations and measures set out in the annual implementation plan and to celebrate progress with your school’s community.
Your board's annual report is one of the most important documents you will make available to your community.
What is an Implementation Plan?
A school's implementation plan, also referred to as an annual implementation plan, is a detailed document that outlines how a school board plans to achieve its strategic goals over the next year. It builds upon the school's 3-year strategic plan and sets specific annual targets and actions. The implementation plan also includes how progress towards these goals will be monitored and reported, and how resources will be allocated.
